Despite coming out as homosexual a few years ago, American figure skater and self-proclaimed “America’s Sweetheart,” Adam Rippon has yet to find the right partner for him—until recently.
When he won the bronze medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics, the Pennsylvania native won America’s and the world’s hearts. He also competed in and won the 26th season of Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) 2018.
Adam is the first openly gay Olympic medallist for the United States, as well as the first openly gay DWTS winner.
Adam Rippon was coaxed into skating by his parents
Adam Rippon, the eldest of Rick and Kelly Rippon’s six children, was born with a hearing handicap on November 11, 1989 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. However, because his parents were attentive and loving, he had surgery before he turned one and was able to regain his hearing.
Despite the fact that they divorced in 2004, Adam has a close relationship with both of his parents. The Rippon children were raised in a loving and understanding environment. Adam was inspired to take up skating by one of his parents. Kelly, his mother, used to skate and would accompany him to the rink to urge him to join.
Adam Rippon’s Flying Career: From Olympic Gold to DWTS Victory in 2018
Rippon’s journey to stardom began with a silver medal in the Novice level of the 2005 U.S. Championships, followed by the final title in the 2007 Junior Grand Prix. His back-to-back world junior titles caught the attention of Olympic selectors for the 2010 Winter Games.
Despite being denied a spot on the US national team in 2010, he was given the chance in 2018 and earned the bronze medal. As a result, he became the first openly gay American athlete to win a Winter Olympic medal.
Adam and his choreographic partner Jenna Johnson, who were already accustomed to twirling, whirled their way to victory in DWTS 2018, becoming the show’s first openly gay winner.

Finally Met The Right Guy
There was no news of his relationship even after he came out as gay in 2015. His love life was practically non-existent. Adam, on the other hand, finally revealed his Finesse boyfriend, Jussi-Pekka Kajaala, to the world in 2018.
Adam met his boyfriend on the dating app Tinder in late 2017 but kept it a secret for seven months. Perhaps he needed to be certain about the dating situation first. But once he was certain, he didn’t appear to have any reservations about pushing things forward. The pair decided to move in together after only nine months of dating.
To some, it may appear that Adam was hurrying, although he had been patient for years. There’s nothing wrong with going a little faster than normal now that he’s discovered someone he feels is the right one.
