I don’t have a good sexuality definition; I used to call myself bisexual, then gay. I don’t know how to define myself at this time. She noted that as an actress, she enjoyed playing queer or lesbian characters. She reflected that as a child, she would have enjoyed seeing homosexual characters.
It means a lot to me to be able to play queer or homosexual characters or people who aren’t heterosexual in general. I would have loved to see a movie with people like that while I was in high school.
The First Girl I Loved actress supports the LGBTQ+ community regardless of sexuality. For its Gets Better project, she talked about her sexuality and the challenges she had growing up. The initiative aimed to support LGBT youngsters all over the world.

Dating Jonneke Grisham
Jonneke Grisham, Hildebrand’s partner, and she began dating in 2016. They met on the set of First Girl I Loved, in which Hildebrand portrayed a lesbian character and Jonneke worked as a set dresser in the film’s art department. Toward the end of 2016, numerous outlets speculated that the pair had broken up. They are still together, though, and frequently flaunt their love on social media platforms like Instagram.
