Sandra Oh, best known for her appearances in Grey’s Anatomy and Killing Eve, made news recently after giving a passionate statement at the “Stop Asian Hate” event in Pittsburgh on March 20, 2021, in response to the horrible shootings in Atlanta, Georgia.
The actress spoke to a masked audience on the streets, expressing her support for Asian Americans. She said:
Pittsburgh, I am ecstatic to be here with you, and I applaud all of the organizers for putting this together simply to let us to be together, stand together, and feel each other.
“I am glad to be Asian,” said the 49-year-old actress, who was greeted with applause from the audience.
Since the incident in Pittsburgh, there has been a surge of interest in the brave actress’s life, both professionally and personally.
Oh’s personal life has been a source of speculation, as she prefers to keep that aspect of her life extremely private.

During an interview with Vulture in July 2018, the Killing Eve star explained why she was hesitant to reveal personal information. She added that she considers herself more of an actress than a star, which motivates her to keep her personal life private.
If you choose to adopt that identity, I believe it will be more difficult to return to your true self and produce authentically. It certainly did for me. Her personal life, however, has not been completely hidden. Since the Daily Mail photographed Oh with Russian artist Lev Rukhin in Italy in December 2018, it’s been known that the actress is in a long-term relationship with him.
The duo looked happy as they walked around Rome’s streets holding one other’s hands. On March 10, 2016, the two were seen together at the White House, Washington, DC, for Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and First Lady Sophie Grégoire Trudeau’s State Dinner.

Rukhin, a Russian-born artist, is known for his street photography, in which he uses his car and motorcycle as a mobile photography studio to take images of people on the street.
Rukhin and his teenage daughter currently reside in Los Angeles.
Returning to Oh, she was previously married to Alexander Payne, a director and screenwriter. In January 2003, they exchanged vows. They “mutually decided to separate” two years later, in March 2005.
The actress filed for divorce from her ex-husband in Los Angeles Superior Court in April, asking for spousal support. In October 2007, their divorce was finalized.
