Karamo Brown, an American television personality, is overjoyed that the love of his life accepted his marriage proposal after nearly eight years of dating, and his children are on board as well.

Former host and producer of the on-air news magazine Huffington Post Live, the openly homosexual Texas native is well-known. When he joined the Netflix series Queer Eye as a culture expert in 2018, his celebrity and stardom skyrocketed.

He was a contributing host on HLN’s Dr.Drew On Call and YouTube’s The Young Turks in addition to hosting MTV’s Are You The One: Second Chances.

Bio of Karamo Brown

Karamo Brown was born in Houston, Texas on November 2, 1980. He grew raised with three older sisters and was born to Jamaican parents. When he came out as gay at the age of sixteen, his relationship with his father deteriorated.

He was born and raised in Coral Springs, Florida, and graduated from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Karamo graduated from Florida A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

At the age of 22, he began his career in the entertainment industry. In 2004, he appeared on MTV’s reality series Real World: Philadelphia as a housemate. He received a lot of attention from the series because he was the first openly gay African American to appear on reality television. After that, he appeared in the reality show The Next 15 on TV One in 2016.

Before coming out as gay, Karamo Brown had a girlfriend and a son

Karamo spends his free time with his family while he is not at work. Jason (21) and Chris (22) are his two sons, with whom he enjoys a wonderful relationship (17).

Karamo had a connection with his high school sweetheart before coming out as gay. She became pregnant with Karamo’s child when she was fifteen and moved away from the high school, Karamo being completely unaware of everything. Karamo was approached by his childhood sweetheart when their son turned seven years old, who told him about his son. After receiving confirmation of the news, Karamo flew from Los Angeles to Texas to see his son, Jason.

He put his profession on hold and began the process of obtaining full custody of his son while spending quality time with him. Karamo also developed a strong bond with his son’s half-brother Chris. As a result, after confirming Jason’s custody in 2007, he adopted Chris in 2010.

In 2011, he and the kids returned to Los Angeles. Karamo has been raising his children as a single parent since then, filling his days with them. He has always been a supportive father to his children. His children also back him up in every decision he takes. The clearest example of this event is when his children encouraged him to continue working with his long-time director partner.

Karamo is happily married to his long-term spouse, who also happens to be the assistant director of the Directors Guild of America. Even though it is unclear how the couple met, it has been revealed that they have been dating since 2010.

Karamo invited his lover Ian Jordan to the sbe’s HYDE Sunset restaurant in Los Angeles on May 9, 2018. When Ian arrived, he discovered a surprise birthday celebration with friends, family, flowers, and balloons.

Karamo initially requested that Ian open the birthday presents. When he was done, Karamo’s son, Jason, made Ian turn around and told him that they still had one more gift. Karamo dropped down on one knee and proposed to Ian as he turned around.

Karamo proposed to his love and asked him to marry him after his son Jason presented a nice video and an emotional speech. In exchange, Ian could only say “Yes” and hand over the David Yurman engagement rings to his soon-to-be wife.

Though the couple has progressed to the next level in their relationship, they have yet to reveal when they will tie the knot and marry.
