What Happened to Kym Douglas After Cancer in 2018?
Kym Douglas was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 57. It was completely unknown to the rest of the world until the Michigan native summoned the fortitude to announce her battle with stage zero cancer on Ellen DeGeneres’ show in April 2018. (18 October 2018).
She went on to say that she had to go through a succession of chemotherapies in a symmetrical procedure to treat the disease, but that she was able to recover. However, just as the surgeons were about to complete the treatment, a 1.5 cm tumor was discovered behind her tough breast tissue, close to her ribs and heart.
As a result, Douglas, age 57, had to have a double mastectomy (surgical) on October 22, 2018, to avoid any risk, which was successful.
