TikTok has produced some of the biggest names in the industry, and Addison Rae is without a doubt one of the most well-known. She was formerly the most popular TikToker, with over 87.8 million followers, but she has since fallen to fourth place.

Rae created choreographed TikToks inspired by her competitive dancing days as a kid as she prepared for her life at LSU. Some of these choreographies went viral, and she has become well-known for her dancing videos since then.

A choreography by a smaller TikToker was her most popular dance video. To Cochise’s rap song, ‘Pocket Rocket,’ Rae was spotted doing a body roll.

The video has been seen over 95 million times. Similarly, nearly 80 million people have watched some of her other dancing videos. However, admirers have since noted that she has shifted her focus away from dance and toward lip-syncing.

Noah Glenn Carter, a celebrity reporter for TikTok, also commented on how her newest videos differed from her prior ones. Rae has been accused of “changing too much” as a result of this. Obviously, not in a positive light.

Addison Rae Has Been Charged With ‘Too Much Changing’

The TikToker lip-syncing to ‘Savior,’ a song by Baby Keem, Kendrick Lamar, and Sam Dew, was one of the videos that ignited the topic regarding Rae’s shift. Rae appeared to be at the beach, wearing a bikini with an animal print and no make-up.

The video had barely 4.5 million likes, compared to her normal tens of millions for her dancing videos. In comparison to her previous videos, most of her lip-syncing videos get only a few hundred likes. Netizens reacted on Rae’s lip-syncing video for ‘Savior,’ saying she wasn’t who she used to be.

“We’re waiting for dancing,” one user said. “She’s changed so much,” one person said, while another said, “she’s changed so much.” “Wow, I can’t even defend you anymore,” said a third.

Some, on the other hand, came to her defense, claiming that because the TikTok star was getting older, she was “clearly going to explore new things.”

“Let her do as she pleases.” “People act as if she has to do whatever they want just because she’s a star,” one individual said.

Addison Rae asked her fans to think positively

Rae had implored followers not long ago to make social media a place of happiness instead of “tearing people down.” On January 28, 2022, the He’s All That actress sat down with Insider and discussed her experiences with online trolling.

“Sometimes individuals use social media to kind of cloak themselves or disguise themselves so that they can say whatever they want, whether or not it’s going to hurt someone,” Rea said.

She emphasized that constructive criticism is never wrong, but tearing people down is, and she hoped that the world would eventually learn to avoid it. Rae has faced mocking from online trolls as one of TikTok’s greatest stars, and dealing with it has been difficult for her.

She hopes that social media users will finally see the harm they may do to individuals who are mocked. Unfortunately, given her supporters’ or rather trolls’ recent comments, her words may have fallen on deaf ears.
