After hearing the devastating news about his first son’s health, Fox News anchor Bret Baier was devastated. He didn’t stop being positive, though, as he held his wife’s and family’s hands as they triumphed over their adversity!

The Atlanta native is best known for hosting Fox News Channel’s Special Report with Bret Baier and serving as the network’s chief political anchor. He formerly served as Fox News’ principal white house correspondent and Pentagon correspondent.

William Bret Baier was born on August 4, 1970, in Atlanta, Georgia, and attended private Roman Catholic High School and Marist High School.

Bret Baier and his wife overcame the challenges of a long-distance relationship!

Bret didn’t expect to spend the rest of his life with Amy Baier, whom he met on a blind date in September 2001. They were introduced by mutual friends, and his wife was hesitant to meet him at first—’ because he lived on the East Coast,’ she reasoned—because she didn’t think long-distance relationships could continue.

But she eventually agreed, and they went to a Rolling Stones concert on their first date. On their first date, Bret impressed Amy with his gentlemanly demeanor and southern demeanor. And, despite his wife’s reservations about their long-distance relationship, they put in extra effort during their courting, commuting between Chicago and Washington, D.C.

Bret and Amy married in 2004 after carrying their love for each other and accepting a difficult dating life of meeting and parting.

Bret Bair’s Son: What Really Happened?

Bret and his wife were left in the dark after their doctor revealed that he had two holes in his heart, as well as three congenital impairments, while they were celebrating the birth of their first son, Paul, in 2007. The new parents were heartbroken, despite the prayers and support of friends and relatives.

Fortunately, their son, Paul, survived three open-heart surgery with great success. Bret composed Special Heart with the purpose of raising awareness about heart illnesses that affect millions of other children, inspired by their son’s successful battle.

Thankfully, when they welcomed their second son, Daniel, into the world in 2010, he didn’t have any health difficulties.  Bret now lives a peaceful life with his family, and he doesn’t work alone because he frequently accompanies his family to various events and seminars.

He values them beyond all else and has made it a point to create unexpected and wonderful moments with his gorgeous family of four.
