Anderson Cooper came out of the closet and declared himself gay in 2012, after years of keeping his sexuality a secret. However, it was a well-kept secret that many may have anticipated, so no one was astonished.

Anderson Cooper is a well-known television personality and journalist who is also openly gay. He is the host of CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360° and has covered some of the world’s most important news events. Anderson began hosting CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute, a presentation that celebrates and honors great acts by ordinary people, in 2007.

Examining Anderson Cooper’s Biography

Wyatt Emory Cooper and Gloria Vanderbilt gave birth to the Manhattan native on June 3, 1967. His media experience began at a young age, when he appeared on The Tonight Show with his fashion designer and writer mother at the age of three.

After having a series of heart attacks and undergoing open-heart surgery, his father died at the age of 50. Anderson considers his father’s book, Families, to be a roadmap for how he would have wanted his son to live, which is why he feels “extremely linked” to him.

Anderson had a difficult upbringing due to the death of his older brother. Carter committed suicide by jumping from the 14th-floor terrace of Vanderbilt’s penthouse apartment in New York City in 1988.
But, as Anderson stated in a March 2007 interview with New York Magazine, it was his brother’s suicide that sparked his interest in journalism.

Loss is a concept that I think about a lot, and it’s something that I focus on in my work. When you lose a loved one, especially the sort I lost, you start to wonder about survival: why do some individuals flourish in situations that others can’t stand? Would I be able to survive and make a living on my own in the world? Anderson has since gone on to become a well-known journalist with five Emmy trophies to his name.

Anderson Cooper, who is openly gay, has ended his relationship with Benjamin Maisani

Since 2009, Anderson Cooper, a well-known openly homosexual journalist who is behind all the camera reporting, has been in a relationship with NYC nightclub mogul Benjamin Maisani. Benjamin is a successful bar owner and owns multiple gay pubs in NYC, including Eastern bloc, Bedlam Bar & Lounge, and Atlas Social Club, to name a few.

Cooper confirmed that he and his partner Benjamin had broken up in an interview with US Weekly on March 15. He issued an official declaration of their breakup without elaborating on why they broke up.

Anderson also stated that, despite their separation, they are still family to each other and adore each other. They will continue to be close friends and enjoy their lives together.

Anderson and Benjamin Have a Feud

Anderson revealed in an interview with People magazine that while Benjamin was upset by Anderson’s tight schedule, he also understood that he loved it. According to Anderson’s statement, Benjamin was unhappy with Anderson because he used to travel a lot for work, which could be a major factor for the former power couple’s breakup.

They were photographed together in Tahiti with Allison Williams, Bradley Cooper, Diane von Furstenberg, Irina Shayk, and Cohen before their divorce.

Cooper’s mother Gloria Vanderbilt was reportedly planning a wedding for him and Benjamin in October of 2016, according to one of the individuals. Despite being in a relationship for nine years, Benjamin and Anderson have never made their relationship public. They didn’t even marry to formalize their relationship.

Anderson and Benjamin were last seen leaving their Manhattan home earlier this week.

Is Anderson Cooper Dating Someone Else?

Anderson was seen spending significant time with Victor Lopez, a qualified radiologist, after his breakup with former partner Benjamin, according to the Daily Mail. Victor has been a radiologist for the past eight years, and he is currently employed at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. They even took five excursions to Victor’s hometown of Dallas.

Anderson was also seen with Victor in photos shared on social media in January and February, when he attended Victor’s 33rd birthday party.

Anderson’s romance is likely to have flourished with a new partner Victor after parting ways with longtime partner Benjamin. Anderson, on the other hand, has not confirmed whether they are dating or not, but all signs appear to point to yes.
