When one decides to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, one’s personal life is jeopardized, and private things are frequently made public.
Some celebrities, on the other hand, manage to keep their personal and family lives out of the spotlight. Fredrick Jay Rubin, nicknamed Rick Rubin, is a former co-president of Columbia Records. The eight-time Grammy winner has a son and a girlfriend, but they are seldom mentioned in the headlines.
Rubin had his first fatherhood experience when he was 54 years old
The famed record producer has a never-ending list of professional obligations. He has struggled to strike a work-life balance. He does, however, have a good relationship with Mourielle Hurtado Herrera. Herrera, a former model and actress, currently works as a farmer in Malibu.
In February 2017, the couple, who have been together since 2010, welcomed their first child, a baby boy. The baby’s name has yet to be revealed. Even though we don’t know much about the kid, we did get to see his gorgeous face when Rubin and his family were photographed together boarding a flight out of LAX in July of the same year.

The legendary artist and his family currently reside in his estate, dubbed “Malibu Oasis,” in Malibu, California. The mid-century ranch-style home, built in 1965, formerly belonged to a non-famous family. However, since Rubin bought it, it has become one of the most talked-about celebrity homes. The 2298 square foot mansion is valued at $ 8.1 million.
Rubin spent a decade refining every feature of his family house after purchasing it in 2011. He needed to keep his family, especially their developing toddler, in a comfortable setting. The property is designed to provide a relaxing and serene setting for his ‘famous wife’ partner and their baby.
They arrange luncheons and get-togethers with their close friends at their house in addition to family retreats.
Rubin visited Malibu on a regular basis in the 1990s, living in a property he had rented for over a decade. He then decided to make the region his permanent home after falling in love with the ambiance. After his lease expired in 2005, he purchased his own 1-acre property and decided to make the city his permanent residence.
If you’re single and your entire existence revolves around the studio, it’s fine. Separation, on the other hand, can be very artistically beneficial.
Aside from this house, he had purchased two other properties in Malibu, both of which were regrettably destroyed by Woolsey’s ruthless fire in 2018. According to accounts, one of his employees, Sean G, stayed on-site and watered the surrounding area to protect the residing house from harm.
