Alexis Stewart, the host of a popular radio show, is the mother of two gorgeous children, Jude Stewart and Truman Stewart. Her famous mother, Martha Stewart, has a strong bond with both of her children.
But, before we get into the details of their relationship, it’s important to note that Alexis didn’t have her children with her ex-husband.
Relationship between Alexis Stewart and her ex-husband
Alexis was married to lawyer John Cuti for a short time. On September 26, 1997, the couple married. On the Howard Stern Show, the radio personality disclosed that she and her spouse had married after only six months of dating.
Later, Martha informed The Chicago Tribune in December 1997 that Alexis had a small courthouse ceremony in a judge’s chamber instead of Martha’s idea for her wedding.
During the wedding, only five individuals were there.
Alexis was also said to have let her mother down with her wedding gown selection. Martha wasn’t impressed by her appearance, which was a gray flannel suit. She revealed in a 2011 interview with Elle that she had pleaded with her daughter not to wear the dress to the wedding. But she went ahead and did it, and it turned into “one of the worst days of my life.”
Alexis went against the grain for her spouse and their marriage, but it wasn’t meant to be. She divorced her spouse in 2004 as a result of this. The radio personality is still single and hasn’t found a new husband as of today.
Alexis Stewart’s Children Were Born Through Surrogacy
Alexis has always desired to have children. Despite being single, she decided to have her own children through IVF and surrogacy. Alexis gave birth to her first kid on March 8, 2011, after nearly five years of trying to conceive.
The radio host got her first child, Jude, via gestational surrogacy, after spending a fortune on IVF operations and drugs. Her second kid, son Truman, was born by the same procedure almost a year later.
Alexis Stewart’s Mother Is Proud to Be a Grandmother
Martha hasn’t shied away from discussing her grandchildren since the birth of Alexis’ first child. Instead, on an episode of The Martha Stewart Show, the joyful grandma expressed her joy over her first grandchild.
She revealed that she first saw Jude when she was 36 hours old. “She is highly alert and does not cry – a wonderful baby!” Martha added. Martha highlighted in the April 2014 issue of People that Jude was a worldly child who had already mastered Spanish and English at the age of three.
Martha also mentioned that her youngest grandchild, Truman, was learning Spanish at the age of two. Aside from that, the delighted grandmother is always posting photographs of her grandchildren learning new things on Instagram, along with a sweet remark full of love and compliments for them.
Martha shared a picture of Jude cooking heart-shaped cookies with her on Instagram on Valentine’s Day. The 9-year-old was photographed icing heart-shaped cookies while seated on a kitchen stool. Jude had swiftly learned the trick, Martha said in the caption.
