While some people prefer to keep their private life private, NBC News political correspondent Carol Lee has opted to keep hers secret.

The former president of the White House Correspondents’ Association married an army soldier in a private ceremony attended by only close friends and family. Her wedding information comes from a source other than the reporter herself.

Carol Lee and Major Ryan Harmon had a secret marriage

Carol’s wedding received little attention, either on social media or elsewhere. In June of this year, she married Major Ryan Harmon. Carol E. Lee and her husband Ryan Harmon at their June 2019 wedding.

Carol Lee and her Husband were introduced via mutual friends

Thanks to mutual friends Fernando Lujan and Brianna Keilar, who are also married. According to the Politico Newsletter of the time, they introduced Lee to the man she would later call her husband. Lujan and Keilar held a BBQ setting where Lee and Harmon met for the first time. After their first meet and greet, the two stayed in touch and eventually began dating. Lee got engaged to her spouse over the holidays in 2018, according to the newsletter.

Carol Lee has already given birth to a child

Before marrying her husband, the national political reporter was a mother to a son named Hudson Lee. The son could be from a previous relationship, but it’s unclear because she hasn’t publicly discussed the circumstances of that connection.

This fact was revealed by the reporter herself during a birthday tweet for Hudson in 2018. The reporter’s birthday post to her kid in 2018 was the only time she mentioned him on her social media accounts.

Carol Lee is a seasoned reporter

The New York University School of Journalism awarded the Washington, DC resident a journalism degree. She covered politics in Florida for three years after graduation, including the 2008 presidential campaign.

She subsequently relocated to Washington, D.C., where she worked as a White House correspondent for publications such as Politico and The Wall Street Journal. In 2011, she became a White House Correspondent for the Wall Street Journal. She has previously covered the White House for Politico, beginning with President Obama’s Chicago transition.

She was also the White House Correspondents’ Association’s president. Lee is currently a regular national political correspondent for NBC News, as well as a commentator for television and radio networks such as CNN, MSNBC, NPR, and Sirius XM.
