RuPaul’s Drag Race will expand its drag dynasty in August 2020 with the premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race: Vegas Revue, a new reality show. The Vegas Revue was a unique kind of drag race. There was no competition for the six-episode documentary series.

It followed six past RuPaul’s Drag Race finalists as they prepared to take the stage in Las Vegas for the RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! Show.

Season 11 winner Yvie Oddly, Asia O’Hara (Season 10), Kameron Michaels (Season 10), Naomi Smalls (Season 8 and Season 4 of All Stars), and Vanessa “Vanjie” Mateo were among the cast members (Season 10 and Season 11).

It also included Derrick Barry (RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Seasons 8 and 5) who introduced fans to not one, but two of his boyfriends.

Derrick Barry and His Boyfriends Have a Troubled Relationship

For more than a decade, Barry has been in a relationship with artist Nick San Pedro and fellow drag queen Nebraska Thunderf*ck (real name Mackenzie Claude). It was just Barry and his boyfriend, Pedro, at first. They met at Pamela Anderson’s fashion show in 2005.

Two years later, they were dating and planning to move in together. In February 2012, their best friend introduced them to Mackenzie after they had been dating for five years. The three continued hanging together on a regular basis after their first meeting, and Mackenzie enlisted in the military.

He spent the entire time there thinking about Barry and Pedro, and that’s when he realized something wasn’t quite right. When he returned, the three of them began dating, and after a month, MacKenzie felt he wanted to formalize their relationship.

“We held a sit-down meeting. We got a text that said, “I need to speak with you guys.” It’s a serious situation.’ “He sat us down and stated that he wanted to make it exclusive, which it was already,” Barry told Huffingtonpost.

The three stated that the most common assumption is that they are in an open relationship.

Mackenzie observed that they were similar to any other monogamous relationship, except with an additional partner.

They kept everything in check and didn’t allow for jealousy, instead supporting and enjoying one other’s accomplishments.

Derrick Barry’s Relationship with His Boyfriend’s Family

Earning the acceptance of your partner’s family can be a difficult task in any relationship. It’s much more puzzling when it involves a throuple. When Barry and his partners presented their families to each other, they had completely diverse reactions.

Pedro, Barry’s first partner, grew up in a Cuban Catholic home and was concerned about how his family would react. “It took the family a few years to adjust, but now the majority of the family embraces us with open arms,” Pedro added.

It was much easier for Barry to inform his family because they already knew he was different from most people. He claimed that he had always been the more daring member of his family, and he received a favourable response, particularly from his father.

Mackenzie, on the other hand, grew up in foster care and blamed his environment for his behavior.
