She did, however, give up boxing in order to focus on her studies. After graduating from high school, Harper continued her boxing career. Terri had a tough time resuming her boxing career after losing two consecutive bouts.
Harper got a call from a boxing promoter who offered him the chance to move to the elite ranks of the sport. She rejected the deal after that and has “never looked back after.” She won three national titles and a silver medal at the European Junior Championships in Poland after competing in seventeen amateur matches.
Terri made her career debut against Monika Antonik in November 2017. In the fourth round, she took the match on points. Harper fought in four games the next year, winning all of them.
Terri fought Nina Bradley for the vacant WBC International female lightweight championship in March of this year. She won the fight by TKO in the tenth round.
Shortly after the championship fight, The British Fighter retained her titles and defeated Eva Wahlstrom for the WBC female super-featherweight title. Terri defended her WBC and IBO women’s super-featherweight titles over Natasha Jonas and Katharine Thanderz in August 2020.
Harper was scheduled to fight Hyun Mi Choi in April 2021 but was forced to withdraw due to a hand injury sustained during sparring.
